Greene County Skills, Inc. (GCS) is a private, non-profit service agency – established on October 1,1973 in Greeneville, Tennessee.
The agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors from the community. We have shown a long-standing record of commitment to the needs of citizens with disabilities in our community.
GCS was initially started by a group of parents concerned about their children with disabilities being home without activities or alone while they were at work.
Together, they opened a small Day Center which today, prospers through a large variety of services.
In 2002, GCS, Inc. Purchased property in the heart of Greeneville (formerly Lowe’s of Greeneville) and renovations began thanks to the success of a business venture with local industry. The new facility is home to all day service operations and offices and is totally handicap accessible, meeting the needs of the people we support…
